Gibson SG Standard is one of the many lock icons. Manufactured in 1969. Pot Date is 1968. Narrow neck and 1P final period, striking looks of a large pickguard. And Maestro Vibrola is the best. The paint is full of weather checks, and together with the dents, it creates the appearance of a veteran battle. Unfortunately, the pickups are not original and have been replaced with Seymour Duncan '59 and JB. The knob is also a general-purpose sombrero knob, not the original, and the pegs are Grover. Most of the other electrical systems have been replaced, and they have been brushed up to more practical specifications than collector's items, such as the addition of a smooth taper to the volume and the orange drop made by Human Gear, so you can use it without hesitation. The wiring material seems to be original. During this period, the inside of the cavity is shielded with brass plates, and it is widely shaved for mass production. As a result, the long tenon at the neck joint has been abolished, and it has become a simple structure without a lip. Unlike before, the body side is extended to the 19th fret joint. The pick-up cavity is also wide, like a so-called lunch box. The aim is to increase production efficiency by sharing it with custom. The head logo is an angular style without an i-dot that has been changed since about 1969. There is a wood crack near the 1st string peg hole on the back of the head. The current situation does not seem to be getting worse, but if you are concerned, you may want to consider repairing it. As for the sound, it has the dryness of a vintage guitar, but the stiff response is very satisfying. The fact that it has a narrow neck and a leaf spring is probably a big factor, and it has a crisp and tight reverberation. However, since the pickup itself is rather powerful, the sound is thick, and it is a character suitable for rock that is difficult to blur even if it is deeply distorted. The impression that you want to pick relatively strongly. If you want a withered tone that feels vintage, you can choose a low-output pickup. The rust on the cover is aged, or it is aging, but it has a good atmosphere. I don't know if it's just an old one, but such a hard case is included. There are no other accessories.
