Mexico SHG Custepec Farm 1 kg of Q-grade green beans.
Q grade (83.75 points), specialty coffee.
It is a 2023 new crop, and just the other day I purchased it at a green bean specialty store (commercial store) in Japan, and it just arrived at us on 2024/03/15.
As shown in the image, it is divided into zipped bags by 1 kg immediately after arrival. (Considering the error of the scale, I try to put about 1010g. * The image divided into small pieces is a Mr./Ms. image for illustration purposes.. This is not an image of this product. After portioning, it is returned to the original bag and stored in a cool and dark place.

These green beans are removed from the green coffee beans with a coarse sorting machine and stone removal machine, and nails are also removed with a powerful metal detector through a metal removal device.

As a result of checking the front and back of the whole grain, the defective beans were 25.5g out of 230g (defective bean rate: 11%).
Most of the specialty green beans I have purchased so far are about 12 to 15 g out of 250 g (defective bean ratio: 4.8% to 6%), so defective beans are quite a lot for a specialty. The same level of defective bean rate as non-specialty green beansis.
