EPSON MAXART Inkjet Printer PX-5V
January 2013 Product. I purchased a new one in Yodobashi in the spring of the same year, and used it frequently until around 2016.. In recent years, the frequency of use has decreased, but I used it frequently to print painting paper and New Year's cards.. Estimated to use a total of about 2000 sheets. Exhibition for replacement.
There is no big dent in the exterior, but there is a feeling of use in paper trays..There are also threads and dirt that cannot be seen in the exhibition photo.
About 5 years after the purchase, there is a problem that the stain of black ink appears in the printing screen.. It does not always happen, and even if it occurs, I used it as it is because the symptoms disappear after a few pieces of cleansing and printing.. The same symptoms have been reported in the price com and Amazon's reviews, so it seems to be a problem specific to the model..
Similar symptoms occurred frequently in 2019, so I was thinking about official repairs by Epson, but I was just right after the end of the support, and I couldn't afford it..
When the symptoms do not appear, the solution was unknown.
Also used for printing New Year's cards in 2023. There were about 20 full -color images, there was no problem with black stains, so I was able to print normally..
However, since the problem may recur in the future, it will be treated as junk..
A nozzle test was performed at the end of 2022 (see photo). At first the MB was gone, but it seems that other colors are out.. At the time of printing, there seems to be no problem with the nozzle, so there is no kasure in the output image..
The operation sound does not seem to be particularly a problem, but it may take a few minutes from issuing the command to the start of printing (operation such as ink filling continues)..
I will hand the ink as it is now. I have only used the genuine product (model number 64). Each of the ink seems to be expired or the deadline.. See the photo for the remaining amount of ink.
